Orthopedics and Traumatology
The Orthopedics and Traumatology Department provides services related to the traumatic, congenital, or acquired deformities of the musculoskeletal system. A detailed examination of the musculoskeletal system includes the arms and legs, spine, pelvis, and all joints, bones, muscles, and associated tissues (vessels, nerves, spinal cord). Orthopedics and traumatology encompass these areas, focusing on the mechanical functions of the human body.
In recent years, with the development of sub-specialties in orthopedics, specific parts of the body have been studied and treated in more detail under subcategories. The mentioned deformities refer to issues related to the musculoskeletal system, including the trunk and limbs. In contrast, deformities of the face, skull, and internal organs fall outside the scope of this medical specialty.
