Check Up and Health Screenings

What is Check-Up?

A check-up is a general health screening conducted to gather information about a person’s health status and to identify potential problems or risk conditions.

Check-up packages include specific blood tests and imaging studies based on age and gender, allowing for a comprehensive health assessment to determine if there are any health issues present that have not yet shown symptoms.

Check-ups are generally performed regularly for asymptomatic individuals to maintain health, and these screenings should be increased in frequency as one ages.

What Does a Check-Up Do?

The purpose of check-up services is to analyze whether healthy individuals who come for routine evaluations have any existing health problems or if they might face any future disease threats. During these health screenings, asymptomatic diseases can be detected, potentially preventing future health issues.

Some diseases may not immediately show symptoms or may present symptoms that patients may not recognize. Common examples include diabetes, cholesterol disorders, heart and hypertension diseases, and certain types of cancer.

A check-up can reveal a person's genetic predisposition to certain diseases, even if these diseases do not yet present symptoms. Routine check-ups allow for planning preventive measures before these diseases develop and help prevent more serious health conditions from arising.
