Urology
Urology is a medical discipline that encompasses the diagnosis, treatment, and surgical intervention of disorders related to the urinary tract in both men and women, as well as the male reproductive system. This field examines the pathologies of organs such as the kidneys, ureters, bladder, urethra, and in men, the prostate, testicles, and seminal vesicles. Urological evaluation and treatments include conditions such as benign prostatic hyperplasia, kidney and ureteral stones, urinary tract infections, urological cancers (e.g., kidney, bladder, prostate cancers), male infertility, erectile dysfunction, and urinary incontinence. Minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopic and robotic surgery are used in conjunction with open surgical procedures.
